Princeton Information is seeking candidates with proven track record of success for a Principal ServiceNow Architect in Tampa, Florida. The Architect will report to the Senior Manager of the Enterprise Services Group.
The Principal ServiceNow Architect, will use his/her depth of experience to act as a thought leader regarding ServiceNow. The incumbent will assure delivery of successful deployments of ServiceNow and be at the forefront of new features and capabilities of the ServiceNow suite of enterprise applications.

The Enterprise Services Group focuses on managing all aspects of the company's key service management system ServiceNow. Responsibilities range from sustainment support for this platform, through strategic road mapping and architecture with our key PaaS provider, ServiceNow. To better understand the scale of this environment, this company leverages more than 30 ServiceNow application modules (ITSM, PPS, ITFM, Performance Analytics, HRSD, etc.) that drive and underpin key service management processes.

Key Activities for the ServiceNow Architect include:
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of ServiceNow toolset and integrations with related systems
  • Creates, documents, and evangelizes ServiceNow configuration, design, development, and integration; communicates best practices/frameworks
  • Communicates with the customer in non-technical terms, understands their requirements and guides developers with suitable solutions
  • Drives and provides architecture review and assessment of enhancements within the ServiceNow platform
  • Develops solutions across the ServiceNow platform to utilize automation and integration capabilities of ServiceNow, focused on leveraging business services with out of the box capabilities
  • Software Architect with experience developing, releasing, and maintaining software solutions (web, backend, and mobile), and interested in applying technology to make a difference in patient lives
  • Expert-level knowledge of Cloud services, PaaS and application of those services.
  • Lead development and execution of regulated and non-regulated software solutions, including server software, mobile software, web applications, systems communications, and integrations.
  • Provide technical coaching and oversight to junior developers
  • Work with cross-functional team in an agile and fast-paced development environment to define user stories and tasks
  • Documents architectural solutions in a clear and accurate manner
  • Architects new ways of solving problems using the ServiceNow platform
  • Supports and enhances reporting solutions within ServiceNow and through external reporting solutions to support business goals
  • Builds the long-term strategic roadmap for ServiceNow solutions
  • Supports alignment of IS strategy and planning with the company's business goals and objectives
  • Reviews and recommends where ServiceNow platform fits into the enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Leads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
  • Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and ServiceNow roadmap to reduce costs and improve how end-to-end information flows
  • Leads and directs software development and testing
  • Support team in vendor selection and management
  • Demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a broad range of people and roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 10% domestic travel can be expected

Basic Education and Experience Qualifications:
Doctorate degree & 2 years of Information Systems experience or Master's degree & 6 years of Information Systems experience or Bachelor's degree & 8 years of Information Systems experience or Associate's degree & 10 years of Information Systems experience or High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience of ServiceNow development and / or ServiceNow implementation
  • 3+ years' experience working in a highly agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) environment
  • Experience with ITIL, Service Management, HTML and CSS
  • Advanced understanding of UML diagrams and of object-oriented JavaScript
  • Understanding of SOAP, REST, JSON technologies
  • Experience working in a PaaS/SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult including providing options with pros, cons and risks around key technical decisions during design and implementation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused attitude and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Proven team player and team builder
  • Previous experience working in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to "think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of the Project Management lifecycle
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
  • Ability to balance between rapid prototyping and long-term system architecture
  • Experience in developing software medical devices, web and mobile applications, including applications embedded in the US and internationally
  • Track-record of developing large-scale, multi-tier applications
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment; to communicate in a clear and concise manner (oral and written); to collaborate and influence others; and to promote team morale
  • Experience in back-end integration, web services and Cloud interfacing (e.g. JSON, XML, RESTful interfacing)
  • Experience with web technologies such as AngularJS, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with source code control, software development, and automated test tools
  • Experience with building HIPAA-compliant solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and be results-orientated
