Employee Relations Specialist

  • Responsible for managing ER issues and investigations, EEO complaints, other work-related issues and case documentation.
  • ER Specialist will also serve as an escalation point on disputed workplace conflicts/concerns. The ER Specialist will work in close concert with Employment Law to evaluate and resolve the more complex employee relations issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Investigate employee relations concerns, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other work-related issues; recommend appropriate resolution of complaints and monitor results
  • Prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings
  • Utilize Employee Relations Case Management (ERCM) System to manage cases from intake to resolution
  • Manage periodic reporting from ERCM and other related systems for various HR, Diversity and other stakeholders
  • Explain and provide advice to HR, managers and employees about Firm policies and procedures and the need for compliance
  • Streamline HR processes and develop related guidance materials and training for HR
  • Develop and deliver training regarding HR policy and processes for HR, managers and other employees as needed

Education and/or Experience
  • 5+ years employee relations or related experience
  • J.D. and employment law experience a plus
  • Experience in managing employee relations matters; including complex issues regarding discrimination and harassment
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
