Role Description and Purpose
The Financials Cloud Administrator's role is to provide technical support related to Oracle Financials Cloud, EPM, PPM and related modules. This includes Asset Management (ASM), Financial Control & Reporting (FCR), Cash Management (CM), Expenses Management (EXP), Payables Management (PAY), Receivables Management (REC), Advanced Collections (AVC), PPM (Prime) and EPM.
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly ramp up to a technical subject matter expert role. This person will work closely with a Financials functional lead and the integration team to assist in the development of new features and maintenance of the application. The Financials Cloud Administrator will ultimately be responsible for the overall health and stability of the Financials and Planning production environment.

  • Issue Resolution (non-critical) administrative tasks
  • Assist in creating custom reports and analytics
  • Configurations changes
  • Manage and monitor production environment(s)
  • Report production environment performance degradation Issues and Outages to IT for company outage communication.
  • Report production performance degradation or outage to Enterprise Cloud Management (ECM) Team Lead for development scheduling and coordination.
  • Submit Oracle Service Requests (SR) for bugs and maintenance issues in production
  • Crosstrain administrators
  • Application (Technical) Subject Matter Experts
  • Assist in the validation of Oracle updates and upgrades in the production environment
  • Help coordinate, train and support power users
Experience / Qualifications
  • Degree in a technical field, preferably computer science or engineering
  • Prior financials related experience highly desirable
  • Able to self-train quickly and pick up new skills as necessary
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to set up and interpret logic, data tables and rule relationships
  • Strong general computer skills (Microsoft Office including Excel, and web applications)
  • High level of general aptitude and motivation
  • Desire to learn and apply leading edge web technologies
  • Experience with Oracle Prime is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Finance is preferred but not required.
Additional skills
  • Experience Working in various SDLC methodologies (waterfall, Agile, OUM, Scrum, etc) is desirable
  • Ability to write and deliver technical documents
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer-facing skills
  • Experience presenting to/facilitating meetings and group discussions
  • Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, Project, as well as others (e.g., wikis, bug tracking, source control, etc.).
