Princeton Information is seeking Qualified Citrix Engineer/Architects for an amazing opportunity with one of our largest clients in the US. This position will sit in Tampa Florida and will require candidates to be US Citizens.

Key Information – Some travel may be required. Candidates should have a history of being client facing and have excellent communication skills.

Summary of Position:
The Sr. Citrix Engineer will own the architecture, implementation, maintenance, and support of our single and multi-tenant highly-available Citrix Infrastructure hosted in our Virtual Private Cloud and Public Cloud environments. The right candidate will have extensive experience in Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, Provisioning Services, StoreFront, and NetScaler load balancers, as well as experience hosting these within a VMWare vSphere 5.x / 6.x environment. This position will be responsible for the ownership of all things Citrix. The position's main goals are to improve architecture, which will directly improve customer experience by reducing incidents, reducing mean time to recovery, increase mean time between failures, continuously increasing the level of automation of our work, ensure highly-available, highly-scalable, and highly-resilient Citrix services, and achieve a high-level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, multi-skilled individual, who can work independently or in a small team to deliver reactive and proactive solutions to Incidents and Problems related to Citrix. The candidate must be motivated to continuously gain knowledge, is a live-long learner, takes strong ownership on open issues, and strives to find innovative ways to improve agility and efficiency. The Sr. Citrix Engineer reports to the Director, Technical Operations.

  • Own and Improve the Citrix End Users' Experience through continuously improving company reference architecture and configurations with Citrix services.
  • Design, Install, Configure, Support, and Maintain customer Citrix environments, including XenApp (Published Applications) and XenDesktop (VDI) implementations, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront Servers, and Endpoint Devices with Citrix Receiver, including product migrations and version upgrades.
  • Under limited supervision, assume responsibility for owning and supporting Citrix-related projects, new application and desktop deployments, planning for additional Citrix capacity, and infrastructure changes.
  • In addition to providing Citrix support, the Citrix Engineer may be asked to provide some support of core Microsoft Infrastructure services from time to time, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.)
  • Proactively and continuously improve service through:
    • Quickly identifying Problem and Incident root cause
    • Developing and implementing permanent, repeatable root cause solutions
    • Driving automation
    • Suggesting and implementing more agile and effective ways of working
  • Take total ownership of new projects, problems, and incidents escalated, and drive them to resolution
  • Conform to change management process for customer environments
  • Understand and contribute to improvement of processes and tools used by team
  • Identify areas of operations quality deficiencies or automation opportunities, own, and institute improvements
  • Occasional After-Hours on-call support rotation will be required

Key Requirements:
  • 6+ Years' experience in
    • Building, configuring, supporting, and maintaining XenApp 6.x/7.x environments
    • Building, configuring, supporting, and maintaining XenDesktop 5.x/7.x administration
    • Administering Citrix Web Interface/StoreFront
    • Administering, configuring, supporting, and maintaining Citrix Netscaler Load Balancers
    • Patching Virtual Desktops
  • Experience working within Virtual Private Cloud environments and VMWare Hypervisor
  • Trained or Certified in Public Cloud, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services preferred
  • Expertise in XenApp, XenDesktop, Provisioning Services, StoreFront, and NetScalers on recent supported versions.
  • Strong scripting skills using PowerShell Preferred
  • Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining Windows 7/10 operating systems in a VDI environment
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and securing user profiles and folder redirection to ensure user accessibility and functionality within VDI environments
  • Citrix certifications are strongly recommended (CCA, CCAA, CCEE, CCIA, or CCI)
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM systems preferred
