Senior ETL Specialist

Please note that we are adding an additional requirement – Python programming skills coupled with SQL server SSIS/SSRS skills.
The Senior ETL Specialist will be responsible for coordinating database cleanup and ETL activities between several systems used by Client's Investment Advisory business. The successful candidate will be expected to interface with the following groups on a regular basis:

• Business analysis
• Quality assurance
• Compliance
• Operations
• Production support


The successful candidate will also be expected to:

• Analyze and clarify requirements and functional specifications for assigned tasks
• Translate functional specifications into code necessary to perform data cleansing and or other ETL activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Position Requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
• Expert at manipulating data with Microsoft SQL server
• Minimum 7 years of experience cleansing data and working on ETL processes
• Ability to work with vendor API's to exchange data with external systems
• The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers, vendors and subject matter expects

Computer Skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Visio, Access and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
Translate requirements from business analysts into technical code

• Strong experience with database cleanup including fuzzy matching
• Strong background with database cleansing tools
• Strong experience designing and building complete ETL processes matching data across multiple databases, standardizing fields, transforming and moving data for Staging and Data Warehousing
• Expertise with Microsoft SQL server including stored procedure writing
• Data modeling background
