Billing Associate

Duties: The SMA Billing team is responsible for the billing of all accounts in the retail channel.  Accounts can be on boarded in any of the 25+ sponsor platforms.  The 38,000+ account population is over 90 billion in AUM.
Our client is seeking a Billing CWK with experience in separately managed accounts.  The SMA Billing Group is responsible for the accurate and timely billing of client accounts received through Client's retail channel.  The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task; dividing their time between daily, monthly, and quarterly functions when necessary.  He/she will be familiar with the concepts of tiered fee schedules, account aggregation, discounting, rebating, and account receivables.  He/she will also be familiar with the concepts of billing both equity and fixed income markets, along with all investment classes.
The SMA Billing CWK will work closely with the SMA New Accounts Group, Sales Desk, Portfolio Managers and various business groups to ensure all accounts are accurately billed and all production credits are paid out on time to Financial Advisors.  He/she will be asked to work diligently and accurately on individual projects and daily work, as well as work as part of a team, participating in group audits to minimize the risk of any and all omissions or errors.
• Process new accounts, cancellations, account maintenance updates, supplemental bills and exceptions on a daily basis.
• Mass generate and approve over 17,000 invoices per quarter, ensuring accurate debit of client account.
• Monitor production payouts to Financial Advisors, work with appropriate areas to mitigate issues and ensure accurate payout.
• Maintain the accounts receivable process for Client SMA.
• Work with the SMA business to ensure all one-off exceptions are completed accurately.
• Develop new ways to reduce exposure to risk events and errors.
Skills: Knowledge of the following systems helpful:  Aladdin, APL, Revport, Oracle AR, Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access & Internet Explorer).

• Willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
Undergraduate college degree.
