Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Princeton Information is seeking experienced QA Engineer/Analysts for an opportunity with an AWESOME TEAM near Tampa International Airport. This would be a contract to hire opportunity.

The right candidate will have a proven SQA background, excellent troubleshooting skills and great teamwork. Communication and collaboration skills are critical for our project teams to deliver quality IT systems.   • Execute the test life cycle including test design, test case development, test execution, and defect reporting
  • Work with business and technical resources to clarify requirements and propose solutions
  • Plan and execute functional, system, regression, integration and usability testing as needed
  • Create and maintain test data and test documentation
  • Assist with development and improvement of test processes and tools, where applicable
  • Communicate test status, risks and issues to project management and team members
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing and sign off
  • Troubleshoot post-production issues in partnership with technical and business analysts
  • Evaluate existing business processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Triage business requests and defects, and work with management to prioritize
  • Provide first level production support to end users
Qualifications & Experience
  • Great communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with colleagues in a cross functional, team-oriented environment
  • Applied knowledge of the application development life cycle.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance analyst (ability to write and execute test plans, cases and manual test scripts).
  • Business Analysis experience a plus.
  • Ability to plan tasks and track progress against an integrated team project plan
  • Ability to analyze requirements and identify potential gaps
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, including creating and executing queries against Oracle databases.
  • Able to decompose both technical and business requirements into test cases
  • Sound business judgment and the ability to escalate critical matters to management promptly
  • Ability to identify potential risks, impacts and software dependencies
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent; related work experience may be substituted for educational requirement
