NOC Support Technician

Princeton Information is seeking qualified candidates for a NOC Support Technician opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. Shift will be from 11PM to 7AM, Tuesday through Sunday.
In accordance with client requirements, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident.

Duties Include
• Ticketing system. Client Service Manager (for hardware break fix events).
• Ticketing system. IT Store. This is for 'Request for Service'.

Hardware Installation
• Install C7000 enclosures. These can weigh from 150 to 200 lbs. Equipment is provided for lift.
• Install Client Blade servers
• Install Client DL standalone servers

Network
• Trace cables from network device to end device.

Client Virtual Connect Configuration Application
• This software configures virtual connections from a server to the c7000 enclosure then to the Cisco switch or router.
• There are three versions of this software that are in use: Client Virtual Connect Manager, Client Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager, Client Oneview

24X7 Readiness
• Ability to use meeting software
• Ability to communicate network concepts
• Ability to follow escalation instructions

Internal Team Communication
• Experience using email and understanding etiquette.
• Experience writing brief memos
• Experience writing shift reports for next shift
• Experience using Microsoft Suite of applications

Required Experience: •
  • Ensures issues are referred to the appropriate personnel/service areas for follow up, testing and troubleshooting. •
  • Enters commands on computers, tape drives, printers, data communications equipment, and plotters to integrate and operate equipment. •
  • Interfaces with customers to ensure that servers are functioning and to gather information about new server requirements.
  • Interfaces with vendors as appropriate to expedite resolution matters of significance. •
  • Observes and researches peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor to detect faulty output or machine stoppage.
  • Investigates, evaluates and resolves equipment problems and escalates issues as necessary to maintain job production. •
  • Maintains audit trail of job activities and status to document productivity.
  • Maintains specific quality records to ensure standards are met. •
  • Monitors and maintains the production job schedule and ensures the schedule to maintain performance. •
  • Performs scheduled, such as daily, weekly, or nightly, backups on systems to maintain production. •
  • Takes printers and terminals in and out of service as required and assists in resolving hardware related problems in the data center.
  • Coordinates the movement of equipment and assets to maintain production. •
  • Monitors and computes customer data file restores to ensure that data are current and accurate.
  • Utilizes standard problem management tools to record discrepancies in the environment.
  • Analyzes and evaluates incident reports and makes recommendations to reduce incident rate. •
  • Assists workers in classifying, cataloging, and maintaining tapes to oversee and maintain computer operations
