Job description :
Production Schedulers with a variety of Scheduling Application tools usage.
Develops and maintains automated job schedules in support of multiple clients to ensure completion and timely production of work.
Works with the development staff to establish processing priorities to meet service level agreements.
Sets up special production and on-request jobs, altering daily schedule as necessary to accommodate special requests.
Through standard processes implement and maintain automated schedules for client batch processing as requested by development staff.
Familiarity with handling more complex scheduling activities.
Works on number of jobs and understand interdependencies in scheduling them in accordance with standard procedures and conventions.
Troubleshoots non-routine errors related to batch processing, late critical batch, and SRTs. Works to improve productivity.
Review and make recommendations for modifications to schedules that may cause conflict or performance degradation.
May move scheduled jobs to affect changes prior to escalating. Can provide information and assistance to troubleshooter. Develops and tests new batch processes to ensure productivity is not adversely affected. Escalates matters of significance as appropriate.
Ensure new batch work is integrated into client program and does not impact overall batch performance. I.e. The scheduler will make changes to the time the job will execute, how long it executes, and any other job parameter's that will hinder its executing as required by the developer.
Understands affect on other jobs and the environment to reduce issues.
Creates recommends and implements Scheduling procedures and timely documentation of procedures; ensures implementation is in accordance with standard
Scheduling procedures; escalates errors as appropriate.
Ensure that appropriate standardized documentation is in place to minimize delay in potential troubleshooting situations or adding jobs or schedules to the current program to reduce affect on other jobs
