Business Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Business Analyst role in Richmond VA. Healthcare industry is a plus.
Responsible for the business analyst deliverables of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those deliverables.
Responsible for leading the requirements management processes including facilitating and documenting requirements, defining and documenting current/future state workflows and completing a gap analysis.
Active contributor to the testing cycle including development of test plans, mapping of requirements to test scripts and analysis of defects.
Preferred Certifications:
Cert Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or
Cert Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)

Minimum of three-five years Business Analyst experience in an IT environment. Level and type of experience
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business or related field
Education/training PREFERRED: Master's Degree in Information Systems, Business or related field

Demonstrate interpersonal capability including: strong leadership, deep organizational skills, a professional attitude, and team focus.
Proven ability to work with partners of all types to establish solid, positive working relationships.
Excellent informal communication skills as well as formal oral and written communication ability.
Ability to workcomfortably and successfully with business partners and vendors.
Major/Core responsibilities:
1. Performance Expectation: Requirements Elicitation and Analysis
* Develop clear and concise project requirements using PMO methodology and templates.
* Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions with business owners and technical subject matter experts (SME's) to elicit requirements and understand problems and to suggest possible innovative solutions.
* Enhance business processes when applicable.
* Facilitate customer acceptance of the requirements deliverables.
2. Performance Expectation: Workflow Analysis
* Develop current and future state workflows based on observation and interviews.
* Using the current and future state workflows provide a gap analysis.
* Facilitate process flow sessions with business and technical SME's.
* Facilitate customer acceptance of the workflow deliverables.
* Facilitate development of key performance indicators to measure project success.
3. Performance Expectation: Testing Contributions
* Contribute to the development of test plans.
* Develop test matrices to map the requirements to test scripts.
* Share acquired knowledge of workflows during the testing process.
* Support analysis of defects to determine impact on delivery of requirements to business.
