Princeton Information is seeking a Financial/Portfolio Analyst in New York, NY for a large financial client. This is a long term contract/project.

Financial Management and Analytics - Business Management Support

Role Description:

Financial / Portfolio Analyst for Wealth Management COO Team

The candidate will be a part of a team responsible for the financial business management oversight for their assigned Practice Area Groups (PAGs) as well as the central COO office. The candidate will help develop and manage a financial analytical function that supports the internal technology clients and their book of work. They will work closely with the PAGs to understand their financials, support reporting and analysis requests, presentations for meetings, and support the PAG business managers and their clients.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist in Financial Management reporting, analysis and monitoring
• Assisting with quarterly budget/forecast submission for PAG -Project portfolio financial management and Business expense allocation reporting and governance (receiver view)
• The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment, and excellent team player
• The candidate will be asked to juggle multiple ad hoc requests in addition to the Business As Usual aspects of the role.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and/or Finance.
Years of Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Portfolio Management and/or Technology Business Management.

Skills required: 

• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Ability to be flexible with ever-changing prioritization
• Experience with resource level headcount and financial budgeting
• Must have a thorough understanding of financial principles such as Software Capitalization and accrual basis accounting
• Demonstrated ability to create concise and cogent management reporting
• Expertise in Excel and Powerpoint including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data manipulation
• Thorough attention to detail and precision
• Creative thinker who will take complete ownership and accountability
• Experience in a Finance expense management team
