General Summary: IT Business Analyst Senior works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The Business Analyst Senior understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals and overall business strategies. Level Expectations: Possess advanced knowledge of the tools and processes required by the role Function well in large-scale, highly complex, cross-functional / platform environment Solid individual performance, but may spend considerable portion of their time providing direction for others Share knowledge, coach and mentor Standard level resources in area of expertise May serve as technical lead in area of expertise May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of others Good communication and relationship skills, both in directing the technical team and updating Client leadership Essential Functions: Perform analysis of business issues, provide recommendations for possible solutions, work with Business users and IT project teams to drive decision making and define requirements for application development, ensuring that business needs are being met Complete documentation for business requirements which guide application development efforts, working closely with the development team and business teams to ensure successful implementation of business requirements Assist with the development and maintenance of the business requirements process used to define requirements for systems projects, assist with the definition and negotiation of project scope and create appropriate scope documentation Analyze opportunities to improve application reliability, provide recommendations for possible solutions, and work with IT and Business partners to implement solutions that enhance application and infrastructure reliability Work with IT and Business partners to build support processes and procedures, provide ongoing support to manage application SLAs, resolve a majority of the problems and fulfill service requests that do not require application development Perform analysis of compliance vulnerabilities; work with IT and Business teams to eliminate vulnerabilities, support internal and external audit related activities Communicate project status and escalates issues as needed Qualifications: 4 - 6 years of experience in business analysis of product or software development Experience with development methodologies is highly desired Proven organizational skills with the ability to develop a detailed work plan to ensure project success Demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate large cross functional meetings Promoted consensus on a high level view of the project and drill down into the details to obtain the requirements Performed thorough requirement interviews with project stakeholders Ability to document project issues, risks, assumptions and requirements Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues Ability to analyze and develop business scenarios and use cases Follow policies and procedures to ensure audit and corporate compliance Consistently deliver project status and time tracking regularly to management Demonstrated understanding of system design concepts Conduct comprehensive requirements reviews with project stakeholders, development and QA teams Creating process flows and diagrams necessary to assist the requirements gathering process Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of Access In-depth knowledge of SQL preferred Working knowledge of SharePoint required
