The Senior Database Administrator will join the existing team of experienced DBAs who are responsible for the support of a number of databases, principally on Oracle and SQL Server platforms, on Linux/Windows, in addition, a small number of IBM DB2 databases. The successful candidate will become involved in databases throughout their lifecycle from project inception to ongoing support and decommissioning of the databases.

Responsibilities:
-Identify emerging Database technologies, assimilated and integrated within the organization.
-Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
-Provide support for various versions of Oracle Databases, Data Guard, RMAN and RAC (Real Application Cluster) implementations.
-Provide complete database life cycle support for handful mission critical DB2 LUW databases using various DB2 tools and techniques.
-Interface with other central organizations to improve and implement database process, procedures and automation.
-Proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of the issues.
-Participate in regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements.
-Develop long-term database goals and strategy.
-Training, managing and mentoring junior and offshore DBA team members.
-Maintains database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
-Prepares for database expansion by studying plans and requirements; advising senior technical management; coordinating design and programming.
-Keeps senior technical management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems.
-Provide support critical SQL Server databases.
-Experience with NoSQL databases i.e. MongoDB and Cassandra is plus.
-Understanding of regulatory, legal and compliances issues for SOX and audit functions.

Qualifications:
-8-10 years of Oracle DBA experience
-6-8 years SQL server experience
-3 years of DB2 DBA experience
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Administer databases through full application life cycle, development, testing, and production
-Excellent troubleshooting skills in mission critical environment
-Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database tuning: software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage
-Must exhibit good time management skills, independent decision making capability; focus on customer service
