Overview: Reporting to the Communications Officer for Supervision's Internal Communications department, the Communications Associate will provide communications support and counsel for a variety of Supervision's internal communications needs, particularly regularly-scheduled, operational, and day-to-day communications needs. This individual may also have opportunities to align with the Communications Manager and Officer on strategic Bank and System-wide initiatives. Responsibilities: • Regularly- Scheduled Communications: Partner with content providers around the Group and across the Bank to write, edit and distribute a series of regularly-scheduled communications, including weekly and monthly emails, as well as bi-monthly website updates. • Business-specific/Targeted Communications: Partner with business areas across the Group and Bank to define specific communications needs and develop solutions that support the business objectives. Targeted communications plans will include content development, audience identification, and finding opportunities to leverage all available communications vehicles, including emails, face-to-face communications, website features, marketing programs, etc. Partners include, but are not limited to, all Supervision Functions, Human Resources, Ethics Office, Supervision Learning, and Internal Communications. • Intranet: In partnership with the Communications Manager, work with content providers to write, edit, and publish regular content on Supervision's intranet site. At least three updates/announcements should be developed and posted each week. o Partner with the intranet project manager and web-master on future enhancements for Supervision's intranet, including new functionality, additional pages, and updated content. o Provide metrics and trend analysis for website features and stories • Events: Provide support for both for employee engagement activities, including regular training events, volunteer efforts, and more. Support includes assisting with the planning, scheduling, and registration of events, as well as increasing awareness through communications and marketing efforts. • Compliance Support: Provide communications support to ensure staff are compliant with required training needs and various HR deadlines (TPMS submissions, promotion recommendations, etc). o Partner with teams internal and external to Supervision to identify non-compliant staff, send reminder emails and follow-up until full compliance is achieved. Partners include Group Ops, Ethics, and Human Resources.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree. • More than five years of relevant experience. • Strong technical knowledge of financial industry. • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, including astuteness in assessing appropriate content and tone for the given audience. • Strong relationship building, collaboration, and negotiating skills to engage with stakeholders. • The ability to exercise both thought leadership and initiative in designing, developing, and leading • A flexible and positive attitude with the ability to learn/adapt quickly to dynamic situations, and work productively as an independent contributor or as part of a team.
