AboutWeb is looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals of growing the AboutWeb Cares program. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and identifying new leads and partnership opportunities.


As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing team to assist with all stages of marketing campaigns for the AboutWeb Cares program. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels to ultimately expand the AboutWeb cares program and changes lives.
This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of the IT professional field and various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment in the IT field We are seeking a commitment of 10 hours/week. This internship is unpaid.
Marketing Intern Responsibilities:

• Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
• Update current website and assist with website redesign
• Performing market analysis and research on competition
• Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
• Assist in marketing/advertising promotional activities
• Create marketing content for AboutWeb blog, website, and social media channels
• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  

Requirements:

• Passion for working with a social enterprise company
• Have an interest in reducing poverty by creating IT opportunities for people from economically underutilized areas
• Interest in learning about the business strategies of a social enterprise company
• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Current enrollment in a related BS or Masters degree
