We are looking for an talented infrastructure engineer to join the AutoSys engineering team. This team is responsible for engineering and overseeing the plants enterprise scale, mission critical job scheduling and job dependency tracking infrastructure and tools; providing escalated support of this infrastructure; and providing developer guidance. We are currently mid-way through a major conversion from AutoSys 4.5 to R11.3.6.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with an interest in large-scale linux/solaris/windows distributed-systems infrastructure design and engineering. If you possess an aptitude for developing systems, integration tools using Perl or Python, and have some background in C, C++, Java or .net, then this is the position for you.
o Development and management of a global distributed infrastructure plant critical to hundreds of users/thousands of applications.
o Working with customers to build strong working solid relationships and understand their needs.
o On boarding new customers and delivering training.
o Documentation and process improvement working with operations teams.
o Engineering escalations to deal with problems from the operations teams.

We are looking for a strong engineer to join us to work on an exciting multi-faceted opportunity.
The role involves engineering, support and maintenance, and a reasonable amount of customer communication. In addition, it involves a significant amount of interaction with global operations teams that provide support and coverage for the product. The technical skills that we looking for are a good understanding of core infrastructure (operating systems, file systems, high availability and cluster solutions), experience with Perl and distributed platforms. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, will be essential to succeed in a customer facing role such as this one. Presentation and training skills are key in terms of successfully working with application and operations teams across the world.

Daily responsibilities will include:
o Support large scale migration of 1MM jobs from 4.5 to R11.
o Debug remote agent runtime and configuration issues.
o Run global user-facing technical exchange calls.
o Provide AutoSys training to in-house development and support teams.
o Develop tools to integrate, deploy, monitor, and support AutoSys and JAWS.
o Liaising with peer infrastructure teams to design robust integration strategies including security, entitlement and policy enforcement for these products
o Engineering product builds in accordance with Brokerage infrastructure standards and guidelines
o Performing major upgrades to existing infrastructure
o Troubleshooting performance, stability and failure events
o Working with global operations L2 and L3 support teams for change implementation and incident management.

Required skills
o Solid experience in Perl
o Proficient in Linux/Solaris, including scripting and an understanding of process management
o An understanding of high availability and clustering technologies
o Excellent problem solving skills, in particular a methodical approach to dealing with problems across distributed systems
o Strong verbal and written skills required to interact with a global teams and customers
o Ability to work with customers, gather requirements, and own the task of finding solutions
o Strong presentation and documentation skills
o An solid understanding of change management processes
o Understanding of priorities and ability to work independently
