Project Manager / Senior Business Analyst in the US Regulatory Reporting IT Department

The role is to perform project management, business analysis and coordination for a critical project that will significantly impact the US Regulatory applications. This role will report into the FR IT Americas lead.

Experience and Skills Required:
The successful candidate should have business analysis skills in Regulatory Reporting, project management skills, and ideally also have a technical background (SQL queries using Oracle and exposure to OBIEE reporting tool would be most helpful) and proven analytical skills in order to best understand requirements and project scope & deliverables.


EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance or a numerate discipline (e.g. Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Science etc.)

Desired
Business Analysis Certification or
PMI Certification or PRINCE2 Practitioners Certification

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Essential
Financial Industry background
Regulatory Reporting Experience, specifically US Regulatory
Functional and Data analysis
Familiar with Reporting tools(OBIEE / Axiom / Business Objects)

Desired
Basel Regulatory Experience


TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
- 8+ years is business and data analysis with a leading consulting firm within financial services or in an international investment bank
- 5+ years project management experience with a leading consulting firm within financial services or in an international investment bank
- Solid knowledge of IT, including experience of: managing IT-oriented projects, user requirements development, and testing
- Thorough knowledge of project management methods, standards and processes.
- Extremely strong analytical and organizational skills
- High standards and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
- A strong team player
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate coordination of processes and work collaboratively
- Strong relationship skills
- Experience in achieving results in a project context using resources that do not report directly to them
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities are to handle business analysis, front to back management of project by coordinating across the Financial Reporting (FR) IT Americas’ teams, which encompass the Global Regulatory, US Regulatory and PeopleSoft IT teams. This will include the planning, execution and monitoring of the project and will ensure all proper documentation (functional specs, project plan, test plan, scorecards, etc.) are properly maintained and updated in a timely manner
