Position Overview (duties include but are not limited to)
  • The learning management system administrator will be responsible for assisting the agency with the learning management system administration and documentation efforts. The agencies learning management system manages activities throughout the organization, including aligning learning objectives with business objectives manage classroom, web-based, CD-ROM, on the job training and instructor led learning, as well as the resources and processes associated with each development task.
  • The learning management system administrator will be responsible for assisting the agency in tracking, entering, recording, and management of: talent and other resources, scheduled offerings, assessments, surveys, every user's competency profile, skill gaps, and recertification and qualifications deadlines.
  • The learning management system administrator will assign training, record completions, create: items, scheduled offerings, assessments, surveys, and custom reports.
  • The learning management system administrator will perform system audits and correct any errors or anomalies.
  • The learning management system administrator will test and load online training and resources to the learning management system and assure quality control.
  • The learning management system administrator will be responsible for assistance with the learning management system as a development tool, and a version control system.
  • The learning management system administrator will assure that the agency is utilizing all aspects and capabilities of the learning management system and notify the agency through the Chief of the Distance Learning Branch or their designee if the agency is not maximizing its use of the learning management system.
  • The learning management system administrator will be responsible for assisting in the production of the following: Instituting performance requirements and tracking them through the learning
  • management system. Utilizing individual development plans, to provide a clear statement of attaining employee's goals as a career roadmap. Development of distance learning merit promotion training program that successfully prepares employees for career ladders progression and merit promotions.
  • Utilizing the scheduling ability of instructor led training and resource through the automated procedures in the learning management system. Automating and charting the curriculum delivery schedule for all employees including, but not limited to newly hired employees, job position changes, and recurring training events within the Department of Justice and USMS. The development of databases, meeting minutes, job aids, course catalogs, and draft policy documents.
Qualifications
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the administration/management of a Learning Management System, with at least one year of experience in the administration of a Learning Management System developed by SAP/ Success Factors, to include assigning training, recording completions, creating items, creating scheduled offerings, system audits, and preparing reports.
