Position Overview (duties include but are not limited to)
  • The configuration analyst will be required to provide software and document configuration management and editing processes for control quality purposes. The configuration analyst will be required to define and manage the development of training and testing materials.
  • The configuration analyst will be required to identify and describe the overall polices and methods for configuration management practices to be used during the curriculum development process.
  • The configuration analyst will be required to manage and control all formal work processes and products.
  • The configuration analyst shall manage and coordinate the development process with configuration editing procedures.
  • The configuration analyst will be required to provide software and document configuration management and editing processes for control quality purposes. The configuration analyst will be required to define and manage the development of training and testing materials.
  • The configuration analyst will be required to maintain the configuration process, procedures, and tools.
  • The configuration analyst will be responsible for managing a process of identification that includes the naming; numbering and marking, and editing items. This includes: each work product is subject to configuration control the version, release status, change status and any other identification details of each deliverable item, software, document, database and any operating system changes.
  • The configuration analyst will be responsible for a configuration identification process that includes the naming; numbering, editing, and marking of items. This includes: documentation that establishes the functional, allocated and product baselines. The version, release status, change status and any other identification details of each deliverable item.
  • The configuration analyst will be required to identify and provide version control of software, and document items as they directly relate to the development process (e.g., files, notes, documents, and media packets).
  • The configuration analyst will be required to organize, manage, and store all documents, graphics, and photos related to the development of training and testing materials.
  • The configuration analyst will provide quality assurance and assure that all projects and/or courses are 508 compliant and conform to all DOJ requirements.
  • The configuration analyst will generate a naming structure for all courses that adhere to DOJ set standards.
  • The configuration management position will be responsible for assisting in the production of the following:
    • Providing justification for maintaining completed training and certifications, study, and formulate a model for maintaining completed training certifications and corresponding personnel files through technology.
    • Improving the tracking of correspondence matters related to human resources. Create distance learning on the job training programs that can be conducted during business hours.
    • Sustain the distance learning needs assessment of current curriculum for use in a cost based estimation of distance learning or classroom instructor based training.
    • Plan, and design a curriculum matrix for the job positions and grade series and diagram course mapping documentation for the agency.
Qualifications
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in identifying and describing overall policies and methods for configuration management practices used during the curriculum development process.
  • Must be able to design, configure, edit, interpret, and troubleshoot technical document problems critical to the overall quality control of the finished product.
  • Must be proficient in SharePoint, Office Suite and Captivate.
