Randolph Air Force Base
Randolph AFB is named after Captain William Millican Randolph, a native of Austin, who was on the base naming committee at the time of his death in a crash. It serves as headquarters of the Air Education and Training Command as well as the Air Force Personnel Center and is known as "the Showplace of the Air Force " because of the Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture in which all structures including hangars were constructed.

REQUIREMENTS (duties include but are not limited to)
  • Capable of performing the full range of general medical services to include the ability and experience to adequately diagnose and treat urgent/acute diseases and injuries including:
    • Skin; Head; Eyes; Ears; Nose; Throat; Neck; Pulmonary System; Gastrointestinal System; Musculoskeletal System; Genitourinary System; Reproductive System; Lymphopoietic System; Central Nervous System; Cardiovascular System; Endocrine System
  • Become familiar with the hospital formulary.
  • Prepare and maintain proper medical records on beneficiaries to whom treatment is provided in accordance with MTF procedures.
  • Follow the established operating procedures for the pediatric clinic.
  • He/she shall participate in the quality control activities of the department of pediatrics.
  • Successfully completed an internship and residency in an accredited U.S. Pediatric Training Program.
  • Be board certified.
  • Have and maintain current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
