Intensive Care Unit
Currently seeking an ICU RN for a position available now in SAN JOSE. Intensive Care Nurses, otherwise known as an ICU RN, are in great demand and UNITED Nurses has many travel nurse job opportunities available. Intensive Care Nursing is a complex, challenging and rewarding nurse specialty in which many RNs aspire. An ICU Nurse or Intensive Care Nurse uses their advanced skills to care for patients who are critically ill and are a high risk from life-threatening injuries or illness. In large facilities the ICU may be broken up into more specialized units that a nurse will work, such as; Surgical Intensive Care Unit, SICU, Medical Intensive Care Unit, MICU and Critical Care Unit, CCU. The nurse may also be required to float between these or like units known as ICU Float nurses.
Schedule: night OR DAY shift for 13 weeks
Responsibilities and Requirements of the ICU Registered Nurse:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Acute Care Facility as an ICU RN
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current active license as a RN to practice in the state of CALIFORNIA
Preferred, but not required, ICU RN experience:
  • Previous travel experience
  • Willingness to float as needed
  • Computerized Charting experience
