Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical/electrical assembler and where required installer of custom equipment including Robotics, Hard Automation and Environmental systems 
  • Assemble and integrate automation (welding) solutions which could include Robotic, Hard Automation and Environmental systems on site
  • Ensure that all assemblies of systems meet customer requirements and system specifications
  • Provide troubleshooting, repair and technical support services as required 
  • Required to travel to support commissioning, installation and repair of all equipment within Canada or outside Canada if necessary
  • Work independently and in team environments in achieving tasks 
  • Adhere to and follow all safely regulations and codes while working and assembling on and off site, with or without direct supervision
 
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of community college for Electro-Mechanical or equivalent experience in the Electro-Mechanical assignments. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility with a hands-on background in assembly, preferably Electro-Mechanical assembly
  • Licensed Electrician's 442A is an asset  
  • Able to travel throughout Canada, the USA and internationally is an asset
  • Fork-lift license and working experience with fork-lift is an asset 
  • Strong Mechanical & Electrical aptitude with a hands-on background in machine assembly, testing, and troubleshooting 
  • Experience with handling and assembly of heavy and large size equipment 
  • Able to use lifting straps, rigs, fork-lifts etc. to safely position and fasten equipment such as robots, manipulators, guarding etc. 
  • High level of expertise in using power and hand tools with strong hands-on skills
  • Proficient in reading, and following electrical, assembly and engineering drawings/schematics 
  • Able to handle multiple job orders with constantly changing priorities and strict delivery deadlines 
  • Able to focus, prioritize, multitask and follow instructions 
  • Able to build a strong rapport with customers and internal staff
  • Accurate, detailed/deadline oriented and require minimum supervision 
  • Able to exhibit clear and effective communication skills 
  • Previous automation/robotics experience and knowledge of control/electrical are definite assets
