Overview:
Distribution Pipeline Engineering is responsible for all varieties of system improvement work. The person selected for the Gas Service Designer II position will be responsible for the following, gas service design, SAP order creation, field checks and managing multiple projects. As such, there is a need to build a creative team responsible for creating multiple service designs that are technical in nature. Selected candidates for this position will be responsible for meeting design dates for all projects. .

Job Description/Responsibilities: The Gas Service Designer position will be responsible for gas service only projects associated with System Improvement work. The candidates should possess the following skills; design using Microstation version J, V8, V8I or equivalent, must be able to read and understand civil drawings, be a self-starter, have prioritization skills, the ability to follow directions, excellent communication skills, independent thinking and work management. These individuals will work independently in creating service cards and the use of Excel Macros in conjunction, and close collaboration, with the Distribution Pipeline Engineering Designer and Design Lead for seamless integration with associated project content, design template(s), and overall final product (namely shop papers).

  • Support Distribution Pipeline Engineering Designers and be flexible enough to maintain support for emergent work.

Experience Required:
1-3 years of CAD design

  • Gas Utility Knowledge
  • 1-3 years of SAP experience

  • Mastery with Microstation J, V8 or V8I
  • Associates degree in Computer Aided Design
  • Energy industry background that includes knowledge of and/or experience in gas utility operations.
