Engineering Technician

Responsibilities:
  • The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for the development and support of manufacturing processes. The individual should be well versed in lean concepts including flow, line balancing, pull, and visual management. In addition, this position is responsible for validation of manufacturing processes to meet FDA 21CFR820 requirements. 
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products. This includes creating all necessary manufacturing documentation.
    Implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments. 
    Analyze manufacturing process flows for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput using lean manufacturing concepts. 
  • Estimate production assembly times and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions. 
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees. 
    Create and maintain accurate documentation of drawings and design concepts in accordance with the quality assurance functions. 
  • Provide support in production department to troubleshoot and resolve machine, electrical equipment, and test equipment problems. 
  • Support policies and procedures related to FDA regulations, and good manufacturing practices.
Required Skills:
  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial engineering experience with a strong manufacturing background.  
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in working in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
  • Document writing, good understanding of GMP requirements, Lean Manufacturing experience a plus, good understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly concepts. Good computer skills in MS Office suite and in particular Excel.  
  • Leadership skills and abilities: Ability to teach others important concepts in Lean, DFM, GMP compliance. Ability to influence other organizations and peers to achieve desired results, results oriented and strategic thinker.
