Scope Of Work / General Description
The Engineering Detailer produces construction drawings, material specifications and CNC pattern drawings for the production of displays, based on the information provided by design drawings, client information, meetings and other sources of information per the requirements of ISO Procedures.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
  • Participate on project teams, including attending required meetings, keeping accurate meeting notes, acquiring all relevant project data, working closely with the project designer, project manager, and other relevant parties, and seeking the advice and council of relevant parties when necessary.
  • Develop original and creative solutions and constructions, with supervision as required.
  • Produce complete and accurate documents for the construction of projects, including sketches, drawings,  material specifications and CNC pattern drawings, and submit them for approval to the Engineering Manager and Project Manager; effect corrections as necessary and provide documents to appropriate departments for their use.
  • Provide explanations and interpretations of the Engineering documents for purposes of clarification. 
  • Maintain interest / involvement in the project and review the construction as it progresses
  • Amend drawings to include as-built conditions.
  • Archive all project documents produced as outlined in ISO document PR 030 Construction Drawing Procedure and ISO document PR 031 Floor Plan Procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Measures Of Performance
Thoroughness and accuracy of Engineering documents, including floor plans, construction drawings, material list, CNC part drawings Quality of communications with internal and external customers
Efficiency of work processes Quality of team interactions
 Education 2 years college education with studies oriented in drafting, architecture or engineering, or equivalent experience in Exhibit, Architectural, Engineering or related fields, is required.
General knowledge of construction, metal fabrication(simple and complex), electrical/ wiring, theatrical/commercial lighting, paint systems/special finishes, digital/photographic processes, and design
Certifications Project Management certification a plus  
Years of Experience 1 year experience producing construction documents in Exhibit, Architectural, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent education experience. 2 years minimum use of Autocad release 14, 2000, 2000i or 2002, or similar cad-based programs which can be translated to Autocad.

Experience with project management / job costing systems a plus Demonstrated creative, flexible thinking; adaptable to change
