Production Supervisor

  • Ensures Production Metrics are met daily.

  • Holds employees accountable for quality/safety/productivity 
  • Develops standardized work practices.
  • Utilizes IFS system to plan production per work center. Must submit transport tasks using IFS system to order material from the warehouse.
  • Utilizes IFS and follows priorities in the dispatch list as daily and weekly schedule. 
  • Ensures production team has materials, tools and resources to attain targets. 
  • Works with planner when material shortage occurs to reschedule run. 
  • Reviews schedule to ensure correct labor count and utilization. 
  • Manages hourly production labor. 
  • Assists with developing short term and long term employee counts. 
  • Ensures employees and work environment are in a safe state at all times. 
  • Manages machine downtime by allocation of labor to other areas. 
  • Verifies final counts on paperwork are correct. 
  • Verifies line clearances are complete and correct. 
  • Identifies and communicate to QA nonconforming product. 
  • Fills out inventory transaction to return IDF to stock room. 
  • Investigates safety incidents within 24 hours. 
  • Maintains 5S housekeeping standards on a daily basis. 
  • Shares and adapts best practices with other Supervisors. 
  • Builds cross functional relationships and leads employee engagement activities. 
  • Participates in corrective action and complaint investigation meetings as needed. 
  • Participates in continuous improvement events as requested. 
  • Creates production employee development and cross training plans. 
  • Writes and gives feedback on performance reviews for production employees. 
  • Leads and assists with shift and area communication meetings as needed for:
    o Shift transition meetings daily priorities 
    o Bonus updates
    o Employee events
    o Continuous improvement events
    o Quality alerts
    o Safety alerts
Required Skills:
  • Minimum high school diploma. 
  • Seven-years manufacturing experience and/or 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Prefer regulated industry experience that includes knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements. 
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement programs. 
  • Operate a computer effectively and efficiently, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to speak in front of groups of people to deliver presentations. 
  • Ability to lead and solve problems. 
  • Ability to lead by example and display Aspen Core Value alignment. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
