RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide product metrology services to achieve optimal safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.Program and operate CMM utilizing OPEN DMIS, Quality Manager, MCosmos, and all other software systems Perform In-Process inspection of production / prototype material, First Piece Client out, CMM programming and editing, gage set up and operation. Complete all associated documentation resultant of inspections performed. Must be strong in GD&T, blueprint reading, and part analysis.
  • Support the Company's mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
  • Ensure product and process compliance to customer and TS 16949 requirements.
  • Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals.
  • Support all quality systems, both development and maintenance per TS16949 requirements.
  • Responsible for reporting all accidents, however minor, and all standard workplace hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, and to verify individual usage of personal protective equipment by the entire work team.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work area.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Level II Procedures, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to read and write in English
Skills and Abilities
  • Measuring castings
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to assemble prototype fixtures for checking castings.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Five (5) years programming CMM's preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Sitting, squatting, walking, bending 8 –10 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Must be able to work in different weather conditions
  • Exposure to production environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment when in a production area
