Maintenance Tech

DIRECT HIRE POSITIONS - 
MaintenanceBest is looking for two Maintenance Technicians (one day – one night) that can maintain production and quality standards by ensuring operation of plant machinery and equipment. The Maintenance Tech will also be responsible to ensure that all scheduled and unexpected maintenance tasks be completed in an efficient and timely manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES 
  • Install and maintain production equipment
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and/or make adjustments to equipment as required
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on facility machines and equipment
  • Completes maintenance work orders as assigned
  • Informs appropriate parties of maintenance needs; coordinates maintenance requests to minimize downtime
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment
  • Schedule work to be performed based on routine preventive maintenance schedules
  • Inspects production equipment, machines, and tools
  • Submit records (and proper data) of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed into the company computer system
  • Maintains a safe and productive work environment
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Knowledge of PLC System
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Able to perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, machinery and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
