Job Responsibilities

In this position, the PCB ECAD Engineer will work on assignments that are complex in nature where a high degree of initiative is required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Requires experience in the design of PC Boards, knowledge of electronic manufacturing materials and techniques, and how that equates to board design and component placement.

Typical duties
  • Determines design approaches and parameters.
  • Review – advise on vendor technology capability to support development.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Schematic Capture & Layout of printed circuit boards (PCB's)
Required skills
  • BS and 8+ years of experience, OR a combination of significant relevant experience may replace a degree.
  • Minimum 5+ years of continuous use with Mentor Graphics Expedition Tool, DxDesigner.
  • Experience in layout of 6-12 layer boards utilizing HDI Technology (Stack-Ups, Blind/Buried Via Structures)
  • Minimum 5+ years of mixed signal PCB layout experience.
  • Wide-ranging experience. Individual will use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Experience in routing per embedded CES rules.
  • Experience with power integrity/power distribution.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks, DraftSite and other CAD software is desirable.
