Our client is seeking a Merchandise Inbound Analyst

This role provides a unique opportunity for an analyst to utilize a financial skill set to assist in the development of financial and operational strategies, and provide critical reporting to support the flow of Inbound Merchandise.
This role is a combinations of support for the merchants as well as the distribution centers.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate weekly inbound management reporting and evaluate results to share at the weekly production meetings
  • Opportunity to participate in meetings with various levels of DC and Merchandising management
  • Participate in the development of key presentations to be delivered to senior management
  • Produce datasets to be used for spend guidance and receipt flow recommendations for key selling periods throughout the year
  • Develop recommendations for chain/regional allocation of merchandise
  • Perform quarterly assessment of lead time dating by department and provide recommendations for changes/modifications
  • Share responsibility of maintaining the monthly WSAA lead time calendar system
  • Prepare Ad Hoc reporting/analysis related to the dating of inbound merchandise receipts, departmental buying patterns, flow outlook
  • Maintain and publish the results of goals/initiatives to various levels of management
  • Support adhoc requests for information from merchandise operations, internal DC Services and Merchandising
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain and/or Operations Management- MBA a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate trends and results
  • Ability to confidently communicate with internal and external business partners
  • Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong level of accuracy, data validation and ability to understand both data sources and meaning of data content
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to manipulate large volumes of data: Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Power Point, Access
  • Self-starter who can prioritize, problem solve, manage the timeline of multiple projects and work independently
  • Ability to adapt and flex to continuously changing priorities and projects
