Our client is seeking a Sourcing Manager with an IT & Facilities focus.

Position Summary:

The Sourcing Manager will have the opportunity to drive direction, craft policy and have a significant impact on the way that the organization spends money in all sourcing categories.
This person should also be able to cut through things quickly in an ambiguous environment, apply high-level thinking, and be disciplined around execution.
The position will help shape the strategic sourcing capabilities for broader impact across the organization.

The candidate must be logical, and intellectually curious, with strong analytical ability, creativity and problem solving abilities.
He/she must be detail-oriented, capable of understanding relationships between various work streams and responsibilities, and able to break problems into their constituent parts in order to devise creative and effective solutions.
Additionally, this person must be process improvement oriented, willing to make suggestions for areas for improvement, examine day to day operations critically, and identify key issues, and risks. Given exposure to financial information, candidates for this role must exhibit strong discretion.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide strategic sourcing advice and leadership to material IT and Non IT deals.
  • Engage with departments to define sourcing strategy based on key categories.
  • Comprehensively review spends data and supplier rate data to proactively identify sourcing opportunities across the organization.
  • Develop category strategies and supplier management methodologies for select sourcing categories.
  • Work with departments to identify supplier candidates, develop supplier specifications, prepare RFIs or RFPs, structure objective supplier scoring and evaluation methodology, manage supplier communications, evaluate supplier proposals, communicate selection decision to supplier, and manage negotiations.
  • Engage at Dept Head level and get in sync on strategies/commitments associated with sourcing techniques and levers.
  • Provide effective contract review specification & SLA deals as part of current CP process.
Position Requirements:
  • Creativity and problem-solving abilities
  • Conceptual, able to communicate with and influence management at the most senior levels of the company
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing and negotiating
  • Experience running categories of spend, including best practices, establishing strategies, etc.
  • Ability to build relationships and develop internal and external partnerships
  • JR side is 3-5 years' experience, must be HUNGRY to move forward. MAX 15 years' experience – must have strategic sourcing experience
