Electrical Engineer - Motor HW

  • Power electronics HW design for BLDC motor applications
  • PM motor and electric machine design
  • Detailed concept design, circuit design, PCB layout, test/debug of Client embedded electronics
  • Electronics design to automotive standards, specifically for high reliability and safety
  • PCB layout and construction
  • Electromechanical integration with complex packaging requirements
  • Thermal modeling and design for automotive environments
  • Failure mode analysis (FMEA) and development of DVP&Rs
  • Design and test for automotive EMC standards
  • Close collaboration with Mechanical Design, Embedded Software, Systems, and Controls Teams
Qualifications and Desired Skills
  • BSEE/MSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience. Master's preferred.
  • Experience with power MOSFET technologies and component selection
  • Experience with microcontrollers (preferably Automotive)
  • Experience with processor peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, 1-wire)
  • Experience with digital and analog sensors
  • Experience with bring-up, debug, and validation of analog and digital designs
  • Experience managing drawing revisions, engineering changes, part costs, BOMs, and dealing with suppliers
  • Understanding of electromechanical integration (electronics operating in extreme environments)
  • Proficiency with EE lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Altium or equivalent ECAD design software
  • Proficiency in SPICE simulations
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, a plus
