Our client is looking for a Data Migration Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing data origins, destinations, and interdependencies among applications and processes as they relate to the storage, transmission, and processing of PCI DSS- and GDPR-regulated data.
The Data Migration Analyst will manage the effort to define data migration requirements and complete and execute the proposed solution for data migration with data retention and classification in mind.

Required Tasks
  • Perform discovery efforts to map out origins, destinations, and interdependencies of data among applications and processes.
  • Work with other teams to plan, organize, design, and migrate data into secured locations without breaking existing applications and processes.
  • Work with change management on any necessary changes.
  • Manage the creation of data mapping deliverables and project and resource plans.
  • Create and manage the data migration plan.
  • Manage the escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Maintain documentation on data migration decisions.
Required Skills
  • Experience working on a PCI DSS, or similar, project.
  • As this is fast-paced project work, the individual must have experience in reaching out to different teams throughout an organization to understand how data moves through a company.
  • Experience with data retention and classification programs.
  • BA / BS or equivalent experience.
  • Experience communicating technical and high-level details to executive management, as well as to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience working with service providers that handle sensitive data.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with scripting in a Windows environment.
  • Experience performing data migration for a bank / card issuer, especially as it relates to the PCI DSS and GDPR.
  • Familiarity with data classification and retention software.
