Summary:

The Java Developer is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and management of an enterprise level application development effort and will provide technical and business expertise in connection with the Risk Management Information (RMI) Development & Sustainment Support effort for the Sea Warrior Program Office (PMW 240).

  • Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
  • Designs and develops user interfaces
  • Develop application applications using Java, Spring, Javascript, Angular, MySQL and Oracle
  • Development using with HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Hibernate, MongoDB, NoSQL
  • Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
  • Utilize Agile development methodologies

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) 
  • HS diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience with Java and JavaScript
    • 1+ years of experience with SQL
    • Experience with Web application development and object-oriented programming
    • Experience with Struts 1, Velocity, Angular JS, and Oracle 12, bootstrap
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to use version control and collaborative tools
  • Strong working experience in all phases of the SDLC, and EW data analysis/library products to support automated tool development is strongly preferred
  • Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications
  • Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks
  • Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees

Work Environment:
