The team is responsible for model development, in cycle execution, and all relevant documentation for the entirety of all Client.
The role will focus on all three components and candidates need to have experience in all three areas.
The individual is expected to be able to work closely with all business and support group partners as well as other stakeholders in the CCAR process.
The role requires technical skills in modelling and Excel (expert level) as set out below but also a highly flexible and adaptable finance professional who is knowledgeable both in the finance and modelling field but appreciates the regulatory and business environment the entities operate within it, and while working with the detail is able to have the vision to see the end deliverable which is a complete and accurate model and stress test methodology and production tool that will be critical to the CCAR process.
Accountabilities Include:
  • The candidate will be required to develop and manage a rigorous modeling framework for assessing the impact on the balance sheet, P&L and capital position of relevant business units from exogenous shocks to interest rates, or stress to the financial and economic environment.
  • The candidate will have responsibility for building the requisite Client Securities models.
  • Project management responsibility, with ongoing communication with all stakeholders, both in Client Securities USA but also with the other US segments and Canadian partners.
  • As part of the relationship with the Research and Strategy Group, the individual will be expected to become integrated into the ongoing CCAR and EWST forecasting and modelling apparatus in the group.  
Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:                       
  • Sound knowledge of the US business and regulatory environment.
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Business/Accounting/Financial Management or other related field.
  • Strong accounting background, with the ability to read, understand, and interpret balance sheets and P&L statements
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel necessary for success in the role
  • Knowledge of basic econometric techniques
  • Working knowledge of US financial system, especially the capital markets is preferred
  • Demonstrated relationship building, people management and leadership skills with the proven to ability to make things happen through use of impact and influence.
  • Collaborative, team player with advanced facilitation, presentation and consensus building skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and sound judgment in a dynamic business environment.
  • Thorough understanding of Wholesale Banking/Capital Markets businesses.
  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record to deliver results.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with business and senior management at all levels.
