We need an Advisory Solutions Data Architect, who is very skilled in Enterprise Architecture Framework.
The work can be done in one of these cities, the customer is flexible on what office the resource goes to and he must be onsite.
Please be sure to include in the notes which office the resource would prefer to work: Colorado Springs, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Dallas
The main areas for this requirement are: Data Modeling & Design, Data Quality & Profiling, Master Data Management, Storage & Operations, Security, Analytics, Technology Selection, Metadata management. Resource should be Thought Leader with Data Governance experience – working across different locations to define and develop and Data Modeling w/ logical terms Under limited supervision, designs, models, configures, tests and installs databases.
Documents database backup, recovery, capacity and security plans.
Administers, maintains, and implements changes to existing databases to meet customer requirements.
Responds to test and production database problems and implements immediate resolution efforts across technology areas. Implements large/multiple development projects.
Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Lead liaison between business customers, development and support groups.
Coaches the development of less senior DBAs.
An Oracle Architecture & Design DBA who will work closely with Agile development teams to model, design and implement databases using database best practices and FedEx standards.
The candidate will work in Agile and non-Agile teams to re-architect and design database as legacy applications are modernized.
The position will be responsible to provide leadership in the area of managing and championing modernization.
Experience with the following technologies, processes tools will be essential
Hands on experience architecting & designing Oracle relational databases, Strong experience with data modeling complex databases, Hands-on experience with both logical and physical database architecture, Experience writing Oracle DDL, Expert knowledge of SQL & SQL tuning, Solid understanding of tuning, views, partitioning and indexes, Strong understanding of Data Architecture and design principals

A candidate with excellent communication skills, strong initiative and a positive attitude that can lead Data Architecture initiatives will be a great fit for the position.
The following skills will be considered a plus: Experience working as a Design DBA in in Agile work streams, thorough understanding of leading modeling principles and patterns, In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles (e.g. Data Modelling, Data Security, Metadata, Data Retention), Experience working with business and IT architects in requirements analysis, and modeling tools , Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and interact with resources from technical and non-technical organizations, Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with developers, analysts, and business staff throughout the organization, Demonstrated capability developing, maintaining, promoting enterprise data architecture, Capability to provide thought leadership and abstract thinking, Knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other industry standard open architecture and framework approaches , Data Management Professional (CDMP) Certification, optional, equivalent experience is accepted
