Scope of Work

We are looking for a Japanese-English bilingual system support coordinator to join a growing team which support Prudential group companies' actuarial systems. The systems support team consists mainly of technical members specialized in infrastructure, development, or application support; located in India, the Philippines, Japan, or the United States. This position is within the systems support-JP team which is a sub team of the systems support team to cater to our Japanese business partners.

This role's primary focus is to take requests and inquiries emailed to the sub team in Japanese, and either fulfil the request/provide answers, or translate it to English and work with appropriate main team members or members of other teams within the Prudential company groups.

The ideal candidate would have strong written and oral communication skills, basic level of technical knowledge, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include:
· Monitor email box and respond
· Translate email messages and various documents from Japanese to English and vice versa
· Coordinate support activities among multiple teams
· Handle emergency phone calls in English and/or Japanese

Skills/Qualifications:
· Four to Six years of experience working in IT environment
· Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level N1 or N2
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Management Information Systems preferred but not required – other majors are acceptable
· Excellent analytical skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and technical specifications.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with insurance industry and/or actuarial systems and processes is a plus
