Development Engineer #12327
The Development Engineer supports the management of software, tool development, APR, and all TOMONI related support. The position is also responsible for assisting in evaluating and consulting on the acquisition of new software that align with the overall business needs and objectives of Client . The Development Engineer is responsible for supporting user training of software applications and tools throughout the organization, and will be involved in business case analysis and updating of sales and presentation materials. This position will report to Operations Development Engineering Manager.
  • Assist with the planning/development, support, and operation of OSISoft PI system software and other OSISoft components and products
  • Assist with the planning/development, support, and operation of RMC compatible software and other products
  • Assist with managing and maintaining the operation of separate test environment for research and development efforts
  • Create RMC tools with existing software to amplify automated alerting and proactive practices
  • Facilitate software applications training for end-users and system administrators.
  • Support TOMONI and collaborate to incorporate TOMONI products and tools to serve the Remote Monitoring Center
  • Assist with business cases and business analysis of RMC potential projects and expansion, and related presentation materials
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures, reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and overall computer navigational skills.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required;
  • Education and/or Experience: Minimum 2 year OSIsoft PI system administration experience and use. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT Systems from an accredited college or university or technical institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Language Skills: Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to troubleshoot to define and identify problems. Collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to take prompt corrective actions.
    • Computer Skills: SharePoint, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Knowledge of Osisoft PI system database software, electronic mail; graphics; technical network diagrams, process flowcharts etc, and work with advanced pattern recognition software.
