Assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations, maintaining laboratory facilities and equipment in accordance with Laboratory standards in order to help ensure the validity and integrity of experimental results.

Responsibilities:
• Work on various research projects based mainly on cellular and molecular approaches to elucidate toxicity pathways • Perform tube and multi-well plate-based in vitro and cell culture based assays • Perform assays using fluorescence, UV and luminescence plate readers • Perform DNA/RNA purification, transformation/transfection, PCR, reverse-transcription, quantitative real-time PCR, molecular cloning and recombinant DNA methods • Perform SDS-PAGE and Western Blot • Perform tissue homogenization procedures • Handling γ and β radio-labeled isotopes • Preparation of buffers, basic wet chemistry calculations and performing serial dilutions • Statistical analysis of data and preparation of reports or research papers based on the results of the assays performed • Write and revise technical documents including lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and testing protocols • Schedule maintenance or repair for lab equipment, order lab supplies and routine safety inspections • Conduct GLP compliant studies
