  • The Senior Scrum Master is a dedicated team member primarily responsible for helping the Scrum team(s) mature in terms of Agile Scrum practices with the goal of making them a self‐managing team driving successful delivery of established commitments.
  • Additionally, she/he strives to protect the team from outside distractions, identify and eliminate impediments that could interfere with the team's focus.
  • She/he coaches the team(s) in the Agile Scrum principals, enforces Scrum best practices and improves the team's performance by tracking and analyzing key metrics and behaviors.
  • Together, the Senior Scrum Master and the team(s), prescribe the necessary corrective actions to improve the team(s) performance and delivery.
  • Serves as the team-based management proxy whose role is to continuously facilitate a positive team dynamic.
  • Responsible for coordinating all Agile ceremonies for the Scrum team(s) and assuring that the team follows the rules of Scrum.
  • Coaches the Scrum team(s) on Agile/Scrum best practices and values to satisfy customer expectations.
  • Leads both the Scrum team(s) and the Development team(s) to get the most out of self-organization
  • Collaborates with Product Owner on daily stand‐up, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings.
  • Coordinates with Product Owner for Business Stakeholder Management.
  • Works to remove impediments and facilitates continuous improvement.
  • Coordinates cross team dependencies with other Scrum Masters.
  • Tracks, maintains, and improves team metrics.
  • Supports Program Manager in understanding and communicating team effectiveness and productivity.
  • Minimum 6 years Agile experience.
  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience with data warehouse and ETL/ELT architecture highly desired.
  • Experience with AWS data services highly desired (Redshift, S3,
    DynamoDB, RDS).
  • Possess a high level of technical and business savvy.
  • Experience managing larger‐sized teams made up of 50%+ offshore team members.
  • Highly skilled at managing a large amount of concurrent dependencies with outside teams.
  • Robust team facilitation skills with an ability to build and develop relationships up and down the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required.
  • Proven decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including understanding of technical writing requirements.
  • Strong and proven leadership, with a high degree of passion for team building.
  • Strong ability to mentor and coach team members on Agile/Scrum principles.
  • Multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle and several software development methodologies.
  • Solid experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies.
  • Strong experience with JIRA is required.
  • Experience with the education industry and/or consumer-focused software a plus.
