 The Operational Data Specialist will report to the V.P. of Purchasing & Production and work cross functionally with various departments to ensure effective business processes. The role will support enhancements in streamlining data structures, database use and application tools within Data Management Organization (DMO). The role is an entry level position and will help manage quality data through all facets of the data entry process. The Operational Data Specialist will ensure data is collected, reviewed and entered accurately in Salesforce and SAP to help ensure data integrity. A high level of integrity is required as the Data Specialist will be exposed to sensitive and confidential information. The position requires teamwork and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Data owner/expert for all operational master data
  • Perform data entry and data quality functions to meet OWI business process standards
  • Review and process data requests from Salesforce
  • Ensure data requests are processed through in a timely fashion between departments
  • Enter and update master data in SAP for new and existing co-manufacturer and vendor accounts and company materials/products/items
  • Work with production planners and buyers to ensure master data aligns with current and future OWI business processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and purchasing master data (product master, BOM's, routings, purchasing info record's, vendor master, etc.)
  • Basic to intermediate skills on Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Access, Word and Power Point)
  • SAP software experience required
