My direct client in Boston, MA (Downtown Crossing) is hiring a Full-stack Wordpress Developer.

Location: Boston, MA (Downtown Crossing)
Duration: Permanent placement preferred – Contract-to-hire will be considered based on candidate situation
Salary: Competitive and dependent upon experience; includes great benefits and a generous work-from-home policy
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the integrity of the corporate website codebase and architecture
  • Ensure the website is moving forward from a technological perspective, adopting new technologies where appropriate, and retiring older technologies as needed.
  • Develop the corporate website in a way that makes content, processes, and other assets accessible to the marketing team.
  • Lead a variety of projects ranging from interactive applications to routine website updates.
  • Collaborate with designer to evolve the look and feel of the website.
  • Work with graphic designer/digital team to convert designs to visual elements.
  • Other projects as needed.
Experienced With:
  • WordPress theme / plugin development
  • HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), PHP, JS (ES6) + jQuery, MYSQL
  • Responsive development using Twitter Bootstrap, Flexbox, CSS Grid, etc.
  • Node.js, NPM, Docker, Webpack, Gulp, Composer and other environment / build tools
  • Git and development workflows such as GitFlow
  • Deploybot, Gitlab Pipelines, YAML, and (or) other tools / process / and automation to build continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Javascript libraries like jquery, GSAP, fancybox, waypoints, select2, etc.
  • WordPress plugins such as ACF, Gravity Forms, FacetWP, Yoast, Yarpp, etc.
  • Managing a multilingual website and localizing content using WPML / built in WordPress I18n functions
  • 3rd party libraries for marketing automation / CRM applications like Marketo / Salesforce
  • Working with 3rd party JS APIs such as Google Analytics / Optimize, Olark, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Working with various REST and SOAP APIs
  • Email templating and table based design
  • Command line tools
