Our client is seeking a dynamic digital strategist to oversee and enhance the digital presence of its portfolio of independent hotel properties, as well as the corporation itself, from the company's New York City office.

  • Determine and prioritize business requirements and manage roadmap for the company's digital platforms, including digital revenue sources.
  • Identify and investigate digital innovations, educate creative and regional operations teams and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with creative and operations teams as well as third-party digital vendors to develop new websites and refresh existing sites for a portfolio of independent hotel properties, implementing innovative design and improved booking processes.
  • Partner with creative team and digital vendors to keep content and design updated.
  • Implement digital strategies to ensure websites are smart and fast – and optimized for all platforms, devices and channels.
  • Facilitate monthly website review meetings, conduct quarterly audits using tools like Google Analytics and report on action items needed to ensure hotel sites are optimized.
  • Identify, evaluate and manage best-in-class digital vendors, which include web design firms, digital marketing companies, online travel agencies (OTAs), third-party channels (online maps, review sites, etc.) and online hotel booking programs.
  • Partner with the revenue management team as needed to implement package pricing, promotional participation and the execution of marketing promotions online.
  • Assist in the development, presentation and execution of property specific e-commerce media plans.
  • Create and maintain innovative, efficient and detail-oriented guest digital experiences, including the education and booking process, pre-arrival contact, and follow-up.
  • Compile data to analyze and interpret marketing, sales and historical competitive data to aid with the development of marketing tactics.
  • Assist with improving email marketing strategies, programs, campaigns and newsletters.
  • Build and maintain marketing email lists and internal company distribution lists.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the organization on new product rollouts.
Key requirements include:

  • Functional knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on various deadlines

  • Proven track record of communicating with senior management and stakeholders
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is required
