Our direct retail client is searching for a Social Media Manager with experience in social media strategy for all platforms, a deep understanding of social analytics, and social listening and engagement. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation and optimization of programs across a variety of department projects and initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing social listening and influencer discovery strategies.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Working collaboratively with team members to create, manage, and measure social media campaigns, with a heavy emphasis on influencer identification marketing
  • Development of content strategies and editorial calendars to manage content and plan specific, relevant and timely social campaigns
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written)
  • Hands on daily monitoring of social platforms – identifying trends and aligning with ongoing efforts
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with social media partners across Northeastern as needed
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a way appropriate to the specific social channel
  • Develop and grow influencer outreach efforts
  • Analyze reports to uncover insights and advise stakeholders on best practices and program/content optimization
  • Keep up to date on social media marketing, social listening and influencer trends and technologies

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in an agency or corporate setting with hands-on experience managing and optimizing social strategies
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of all major social media platforms
  • Has demonstrated experience in social media marketing, social listening (experience with Sprinklr is a plus), influencer marketing, SEO, and social media advertising
  • Has a proven track record of increasing positive audience engagement on different platforms
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Experience with leveraging social media platforms to maximize the performance of content, including creating highly shareable original content
  • Ability to turn social listening data into actionable, engaging, high-performing content plans
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of search and social marketing.
  • Excellent writing skills specific to social platforms, with the ability to be consistent and engaging in tone, voice and style
  • True passion for marketing and familiarity with the social best practices and trends
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other team members when necessary
  • General interest / knowledge in new technologies and marketing opportunities afforded by the changing digital landscape
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are a must
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, able to independently execute in a fast-paced environment and respond to shifting priorities
  • Natural collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills
