My top tier client is looking for an engineer with deep AWS and security experience to build, integrate, operate, and document cloud security tools, services, and supporting components to achieve platform certification.


Responsibilities
  • Design, development, hands-on implementation, and documentation of cloud security solutions.
  • Provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices
  • Implement and control the flow of data to and from AWS environments
  • Perform security and performance monitoring. Develop and manage system level alerts and monitoring dashboards, establish metrics, AWS policy enforcement
  • Document security operating procedures
  • Implement architectural vision
  • Conduct and perform technical reviews for compliance

Requirements / Experience
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 3 years of AWS experience
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying, and testing systems within AWS architecture
  • Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, continuous integration, log collection and analysis, builds and performance monitoring/tuning of infrastructure
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows deployments
  • Experience with cloud security design and configuration
  • Experience developing security-related SOPs, to include access control, encryption, incident response, configuration management and security testing
  • Strong technical expertise in several of the following technologies:
    • Cloud computing : AWS, DC/OS
    • CM and Orchestration: Artifactory, Ansible, Puppet, GitHub, TerraForm
    • Databases : MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, InfluxDB
    • Scripting languages : Shell, Perl, Python, JavasScript, JSON
    • Systems : Linux/Unix administration, Networking fundamentals
    • Security & Monitoring: SEP, Splunk, Qualys, KMS, CloudHSM, DirectConnect, VPC (ACL, Security Groups, Routing, Flow logs, etc.), NAT, JumpBox, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM
    • IaaS - EC2, VPC, EBS, ELB, KMS, Config, SNS, SQS, SES, SWF, S3, Glacier
    • Misc – Pager Duty, Jira/Confluence, GRC tools
  • Preferred
    • Previous FedRAMP and Compliance experience
    • Understanding of FedRAMP Control Requirements based on NIST 800-53
    • Experience with AWS GovCloud
    • Experience with 3rd Party Security tools
    • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of technical professional experience
