Job Description:
 Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Length: 6+ Month Contract (to possible hire) 
Location: NYC OR CHI 
Rate: DOE

  • Assess and understand the client's current cloud security posture and future architecture, providing recommendations for vulnerability remediation and risk reduction
  • Evaluate security technologies for cloud environments in order to implement controls
  • Design cloud security solutions to enable production security operations
  • Architect large-scale cloud environments using container and micro service technologies
  • Conduct SysAdmin functions to ensure cloud infrastructure is up-to-date on all system releases
  • Design security capabilities in support of DevOps processes
  • Educate product and platform teams on secure coding practices
  • Perform threat models/risk assessments on large-scale cloud environments
  • Design automated solutions to secure cloud development processes
  • Craft and evangelize secure cloud platform & product requirements
  • Research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the cloud and cloud enabled products
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy
  • Analyze business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks
  • Communicate security risks and solutions to business partners, platform & product teams
  • Design security configuration guidelines for information technology devices and systems, as well as mechanisms for assessing compliance with the guidelines
Required Experience
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure management and Agile methodology
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating system and AWS
  • Experience with Ansible/Jenkins/Chef, continuous delivery, and deployment
  • Understanding of OWASP AppSec pipelines or DevSecOps or Rugged DevOps
  • Knowledge of IAM role configurations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven collaborative abilities
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Client, government audits, and/or FedRAMP
Education and Training
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Amazon AWS SysOps Certification or Amazon AWS DevOps certification preferred
