The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with Directors, Managers, project leaders, and staff to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and tactics. The Marketing Coordinator, with Director and Manager, has authority and responsibility for all projects under their management. This includes budgeting, creative development, project scheduling and execution, research, management of marketing services suppliers, strategy development and market planning. Reports to the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing Communications.
The Marketing Coordinator is primarily responsible for the communications activities and marketing planning related to retention of membership. The coordinator will work with membership, strategic engagement, and meeting services to deliver meaningful content to member segments and promote awareness of member benefits.
  1. Responsible for the assistance in developing and implementing the following marketing plans:
  1. Membership Retention:
Work with marketing manager, strategic relations, emerging media and membership to develop a marketing plan for member retention content marketing, member appreciation, opportunities and member benefit education. Work with emerging media and strategic engagement to develop targeted communications for member segments to promote the resource zone and deliver relevant and usable content. Enhance awareness of member benefits and programs including member to member mentoring, learning opportunities, networking opportunities, and whole person.

Collaborate with staff to develop overall promotional, communication and publication efforts related to membership retention to include eNewsletters, eBlasts, Social Media, Website promotions, Direct Mail, RTT advertising. Work on company communications focused on current member retention as needed.
  1. Annual Meeting:
Assist marketing staff with eCommunications and on-site logistical signage needs, look and feel at the Annual Meeting. Assist in development of Annual Meeting communications plan for digital communications collaborating with Annual Meeting print staff member. Plan should include all mediums of communication eNewsletters, eBlasts, Social Media, Website promotions, Direct Mail, RTT advertising. Collaborate with Meeting Services to develop an on-site look and feel and assist in the proofing of all signage produced for the meeting.
  1. Responsible for collaborating with Directors, project leaders, and staff across the organization to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies.
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with all departments. Work on cross departmental projects to service all areas.
  2. Work closely with product/program developers to gain full understanding of features and benefits to be promoted.
  3. Development and implementation of multi-faceted marketing plans, materials and promotional campaigns tailored to specific segments, programs, products and events to achieve targeted goals for participation, attendance, and revenue.
  4. Write promotional copy for various programs, products and events.
  5. Review and edit existing and new promotional materials for marketing effeteness.
  6. Utilize all communication channels including direct mail, print, advertising, on-line, and email.
  7. Insure the implementation of marketing plans.
  8. Manage and monitor appropriate budgets.
  9. Document and track agreed upon timelines/production schedules.
  10. Create purchase orders and review invoices for accuracy.
  11. Document findings and report on results.
  12. Monitor MarCom Projects inbox for new or additional projects related to membership communications, eNewsletters, Annual Meeting ecommunications, and new projects that may involve other campaigns or initiatives.
  1. Serve as team liaison for print vendor files. Manage and provide creative direction to outsourced designers, writers, editors, and production vendors to achieve desired results on time within budget.
  1. Work collaboratively with Communications team to review communications to ensure consistent use of corporate brand identity.
  1. Pull data inquiries and work with research team leader to obtain needed research statistics.
  1. Maintain copies of all marketing files, ensuring several complete packets of all materials are filed and keeps accurate copies of all marketing promotions, related back-up, copies of purchase orders, invoices and related production schedules.
  1. Assist in budgeting and planning.
  1. Other projects and responsibilities may be assigned by department discretion.
  1. Maintain good working relationship with staff, members and vendors.
  2. Thorough knowledge and understanding of collateral development, e-marketing and advertising.
  3. Exceptional promotional copy writing and editing skills.
  4. Ability to communication creative concepts and strategies to staff and graphic designers.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects under sometimes compressed schedules a must.
  6. Knowledge of marketing research.
  7. Individual must be able to work independently and collaboratively as a member of marketing, branding and communications team while collaboratively managing various internal and external clients.
  8. Individual must have excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills; self-starter, organized, deadline oriented and strong attention to detail.
