Job Overview
The Business Systems Analysis Manager will play a key, highly visible, internal customer facing role on Enterprise Application projects, primarily in support of large enterprise platforms including Salesforce.com, SAP Hybris, Office365, and Microsoft BI. The Business Systems Analysis team is comprised of multi-disciplinary individuals who act as a bridge between internal Business stakeholders and our development teams. Their focus is to provide practical systems solutions that are efficient, cost effective, & scalable.
The Manager of Business Systems Analysis is responsible for the day-to-day management of the group. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of the methods and tools of a Systems Analyst along with a track record of growing and leading high performing teams. The Manager's broad responsibilities include team leadership, cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring quality technical documentation across engagements, resourcing planning and utilization, individual management of junior and senior roles, business development, and consulting with internal Business Partners. This role collaborates with functional leaders from various teams to identify, define, and implement changes and enhancements to meet business requirements in a dynamic environment. This position will be part of the broader Enterprise Applications IT team responsible for analyzing, building, integrating, testing and deploying solutions amongst other technologies.
Responsibilities
The Manager of Business Systems Analysis will:
  • Manage the Business Systems Analyst group by performing 1-on-1s, offering continuous performance feedback, bi-annual performance events, and setting/monitoring individuals' professional development goals.
  • Analyze all incoming work to make appropriate staffing assignments in coordination with other department Managers. Track staffing utilization month to month.
  • Provide or validate estimates for Business Systems Analyst involvement in all new business.
  • Monitor in-flight projects to identify any risks arising from the technical discovery portions of projects. Work with staff and peers in order to drive resolution on the identified risks.
  • Lead the group in developing greater expertise and continuously iterating on best practices for the Business Systems Analysis capability.
  • Understand the trends and shifts in relevant technology and resulting analysis and align professional development to required skills of the future.
  • Research and vet new technologies and approaches that drive client efficiency and ROI.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve project goals, including clear communications in all project and deliverable updates, and offering risk/challenge options to always keep moving forward
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with external vendors to achieve project goals, where necessary
  • Participate in the evolution of team best practices, standards and policies
  • Partner with internal users to learn their business, processes, challenges and strategic objectives

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Information Technology, or similar field
  • Proven experience of managing a team of resources

  • Able to drive consensus amongst clients and peers across functional areas
  • Passionate about quality and continuous improvement
  • 5+ years of experience leading large teams in technical discovery projects
  • 5+ years of experience directly supervising employees, managing performance goals
  • Experience with common Enterprise platforms including:
    • Salesforce.com
    • SAP Hybris
    • Office365
    • Oracle
  • Clear understanding of CRM key concepts, including:
    • Lead Management
    • Opportunity Management
    • Territory Management
    • Collaborative Forecasting
    • Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ)
    • Contracting & eSignature
  • Mindset to design for processes that are efficient and solutions that are scalable.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and refined relationship-building skills
