Position Description:

The Full Stack Wordpress Developer will be responsible for all phases of development, with regards to my clients current stack as well as new initiatives. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with the responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Essential duties and specific

  • Designing and implementing new features and functionality
  • Establishing and guiding the website's architecture
  • Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS
  • Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and/or plugin.
  • Designing and developing responsive design websites
  • Building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
  • Debugging with tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
  • Convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
Qualifications/Required Background:
Education- Bachelor's (4-year) Degree: Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or an equivalent Engineering or Data Processing Dregree
Experience- 5-7 years in software development

Specialized Knowledge & Skills
  • PHP, Restful APIs, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML, Handlebars, Blade and other front-end libraries
  • Experience with Handlebars, Blade, and other front-end technologies and libraries.
  • Understanding of Amazon Web Services
  • Worked with CDN's and high traffic websites
  • Understanding of Laravel, or any other MVC framework.
  • Familiar with scale and SQL and/or NoSql databases
