  • Write technical documentation for our client. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Write grammatically correct, audience-appropriate, and technically accurate documents; manage all aspects of document development and production; develop and maintain document standards.
  • Additionally, candidates will provide Business Development support regarding documentation needs required by business partners; support our client's Production Support organization with development of runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures and IDEF3 Process Flow documentation and aid in the development of training manuals.
  • Work with product managers, department managers and project managers to ensure that documentation is created and maintained according to the lifecycle methodology.
  • Manage outstanding assignment list so that the group's workload is visible and status easily obtained by internal customers.
  • Oversee the maintenance of document templates and documentation style guides.
  • Identifies documentation needs in the company and recommends strategies on how to meet them.
  • Ensure that published information adheres to company and department style guidelines and meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Ensure that published information is accessible to the appropriate internal and external audiences.
  • Work with other operations management team members on various initiatives focused on implementing repeatable processes in IT.
Maintain Documentation website / content and formatting.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience managing engineering groups in fast-paced environment, with project management required.
  • Strong knowledge of the technologies and infrastructure surrounding enterprise software development; ability to learn about complex products quickly; ability to lead and to establish credibility with smart engineers.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to identify and mitigate non-obvious risks to the development process; ability to define achievable goals without sacrificing innovation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers to craft a product vision; ability to effectively communicate both product vision and technical details to engineers, senior management, and customers as needed.
  • Unrelenting commitment to quality; experience with automated testing infrastructure; ability to coordinate the efforts of QA and software engineers.
  • Strong academic background and track record as an individual technical contributor; ability to provide hands-on management.
  • Must have the ability to think strategically. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
